Brian started his career in the yachting industry over 20 years ago. His professional background includes Sailmaking, Yacht Rigging, Project Management and also brokering the sale of Yachts. Brian was a sailmaker with Sobstad Sails and later owned a Franchise of the Quantum Sail Design Group in Seattle Wa. Also a trained Yacht Rigger, Brian spent time learning the trade in Sidney, Australia. Brian started his career as a yacht broker with a local yacht brokerage in Victoria BC. In addition, Brian has had a successful yacht-racing career as a professional sailor with top finishes in both international dinghy classes as well as large racing yachts. Brian has received the Sailor of the Year Award, from the Seattle Yacht Club, alongside multiple Olympic and World Champion Sailors. Brian has participated in many of the world’s top regatta’s including Key West Race Week, Pacific Cup, Transpac, Kenwood Cup, Etchells World Championships, J-24 World Championships, etc......Brian also has extensive cruising experience in the Pacific Northwest, Caribbean and Europe. Brian recently spent time on his Tollycraft 40 in which he and his family spent several weeks on exploring the east coast of Vancouver Island on a trip to the Broughton Archipelago. He currently races sailboats and cruises locally with his family on his Ross 930 Kaitoa.
